It should be someplace where there isn’t a lot of obstruction between the Puppy Silencer and the barking doggie, and it should be as close as is practical to the bark source as well. It comes with a rain sleeve for outdoors. Mine is positioned on the outside wall under an eve, so it’s protected from the elements.
The Verdict For me, the Dog Silencer Pro was a complete success. The barking stopped after just minutes on the initial evening and hasn’t resumed since. I do have a couple of qualifying remarks, however. One must remember that the Pet dog Silencer Pro works by making the barking less enjoyable for the family dog. If the puppy is barking for reasons that go beyond recreational barking, like barking at other animals, people, or because it’s cold or hungry this isn’t going to stop it. The one time the doggy kept barking when the silencer was on I asked the neighbours if it had been fed. It hadn’t. All in all this product was a real sleep saver for me and I definitely recommend it if you have a dog barking problem.
